I dont really think I can export my game into an html file, could I put a link to it which will take you to the game?

you can upload an executable or make a webgl build, this will require you to package the html, js and whatever else there is into a zip file and upload that.

I think itch also allows you to upload a link, but not sure about that....

You can put it in any form and it will be fine

You can just attach it as a file too
