- This was a cute and fun game, and up until the boss fight everything felt fairly polished. The boss fight felt a bit rushed, mechanically, as it doesn't really do much and is easy to avoid. The attack animation didn't feel responsive and attacking felt a bit clumsy. But, for the main portion of the game, it was fun and easy to control, and the levels themselves were designed pretty well. I liked the mechanic of avoiding traps you can't see, and figuring out their movement patterns when you can. It makes for a fun experience that's almost puzzle like, but still mostly about dipping and weaving around to avoid stuff. Pretty engaging. Unfortunately, I don't think this connects with the theme (or at least I don't see how it does) Overall, I'd give it a 7.5/10. Fun game, would love to see more of it.

I don't see the theme fit anywhere in the game
the movement sliding is scary , sometimes too slidy ( yes that's not a word ) that i could slip into the red hazard
the darkness is a cool effect
the pixel are fine , aside from the player being average scratch platformer player character
the boss are boring , i can tell you use the glide to x random y random position block but i won't judge
the level music sound like a jumble of keys with 1 or 2 actually melodies playing behind it
and then the boss theme are eh
doesn't really sound like one but i appreciate the fact as least i can dance to it
Yeah, I can see where your input is coming from. The boss was rushed (I only had an hour or so), and the relevance to the theme is explained in the description of the game.
But anyways (I'll explain it here), the theme correlates to opposites attract because it takes inspiration from Limbo. A game that was used as an example for this theme. Light and dark elements are the main gameplay mechanics (opposites) as you have to use light to traverse the dungeon. It was a bit of a more abstract approach, but I thought it would be a cool concept in execution.
Also, the gliding effect was made on purpose because it forces the player to be more cautious when moving. Thus making the game slightly harder.
How did you make it pixel? Good
I made the sprites on a separate website then imported them to scratch
What is the website.
