Wow the feedback is amazing thanks. I have a few things to say:

  1. The damage can hit from anywhere not just one block away. That probably makes the combat better.
  2. The text is blurry because of Godot's web export also, I probably should have made a downloadable version but I didn't have time.
  3. The negative number for the text was because I imported from my last game and my last game was a time based game so I saved the time with a negative number so it would store the lowest numbers as the best and then when I showed it I showed the number as positive.
  4. The enemy wasn't supposed to move when the player hit the damage button only when you hit them, that's a bug.
  5. I tried to make it so the player would be able to outrun the enemies, kill the enemies, or heal up after fights.
  6. I made the score increase whenever the player moves to a spot that they haven't been to before to try to encourage exploration.
  7. The swift card works because you get and extra move then you can also do your move so its kind of like 2 extra moves.
  8. I made arrow and wasd movement but removed it because there where some errors with it, it couldn't move diagonally and it felt out of place with the cards, but I probably should have left it in because its more intuitive.
  9. I probably should have put a yes or no on the buttons on the chest.
  10. There was a how to play section in the menu that explained some of the things that I've explained.

The game is buggy and laggy because I was trying to make new stuff that I haven't done before including ai, cards, randomly generated levels (I probably overscoped), but the video was very helpful for knowing where to improve post-jam so thanks! :)

I appreciate the response! I could tell you put a huge amount of work into your game as I was playing it. It's totally my bad for missing the how to play section of the menu and I deeply apologize for that. I love reading in-depth responses like this since it really shows how you've thought through all the points I brought up already. I hope you keep making games in the future and I look forward to what you do next!

I totally understand not reading the how to play, I do that some times. I do a lot of game jams (probably too many) bugs I was thinking this might be the first game I try to complete fully and try to polish and maybe sell. Game jams are for self improvement (and not sleeping) and I feel like I learned a lot this jam and am going to try to use it for future games. Also I am glad you gave constructive criticism so I know what you weren't understanding when you played my game. I normally get my family to playtest but this jam was 3 days so I couldnt so the video was helpful!

optically very decently done. You even integrated an online leaderboard. Controlling can be still improved.

Thanks for the feedback! Should I use wasd/arrows? I had that implemented but I removed it because you couldnt move diagonally.

The ideia is great, the execution is a little janky, but that is to be expected from a jam, definitly a game you should iterate more after the jam is done, great potential!

Yeah, this is the first time I've ever done ai with pathfinding, random world generation, or a card game so I'm pretty happy with the results.

I tried to havethe option for to use wasd or arrows, but diagonal didnt work and I had other things to do. I'm glad you enjoyed the game overall!
