the narator really hooked me, the ambience was really relaxing, simple and calm game, i like it

Narration caught me off guard. The fishing mechanic is simple but I love the fish fighting back (tho it takes too much for the line to snap imo, espcially considering there arent various different fishes with different strength)

Not a lot of variation in the fishing, but the narration had me hooked, so I stuck to it until the end. Well done.

One minor issue I ran into, and maybe it was done on purpose, but it felt a bit strange that you could still cast the rod and reel in after the ending screen.

Developer

Oof, I thought I fixed that for the ending screen, no that wasn't supposed to happen lol, thanks for pointing it out!

Good job! Very calm game - could see it being played on an ASMR channel

Good use of narration. It did take a while for the fish to catch, but that's what its like when you fish IRL

That's a fishing game. I love the colours.

Fishing rod physics were great and animation worked well enough, skybox didn't fit the game art style. was annoying I couldn't move around the boat to fish. Catching the fish was too easy. Narration wasn't my thing but it kept me playing till the end so good job.

Yeah it was more work than I'd expected to get a decent looking fishing set up so I didn't have time to expand on the gameplay too much. I did have some more ideas, like moving the mouse up/down to really drag the fish in, but I figured I'd leave it for last if there was time left. The narration was the main thing I was curious about people's reactions on, good to hear you found it interesting enough to keep playing!

Interesting idea for a fishing game, makes perfect sense since real life fishing is very ruminative too.

Pleasant. That was a nice relaxing bit of narrative. I did have a TON of fun playing with the fishing line physics as well.

Thanks! I diiid spent an inordinate amount of time learning about Splines, and then dumping all that for the built in Cable and Physics Constraints to end up with the current fishing line physics (which seems to have shown up in a couple other entries), so I appreciate your comment 😊

Fishing meets philosophy, interesting! The narrator voice volume was a little low though. Well done!
