This reminded me of the good old days, the kind of game and graphics you'd see on a Gameboy. Kudos for making something as fun as this with those limited means.
It is very "artistic" design but for me personal its nothing i can watch longer than 2 min. However i was not having any Bugs so, well coded. It was very intuitive what i have to do.
I liked the idea of using letters, resulting in unique graphics. Struggled a bit with the controls at first, but that's on me :D. Liked the animations overall, and the fish spawning. Is it done in widgets only?

I discovered the jam with 2 days left so this was what I could do in 48 hours
