Congratulations!

Your game won second prize in the jam!

You can claim your prize on Steam if you use my friend code: 1739391776 and I can contact and arrange that over there.

Apologies for the delay, I had some technical issues. Hope you understand. Looking forward to hearing from you :)

Thank you.

I'm glad you have enjoyed the art and style so far it was wonderful to have this jam to work outside the box and to draw everything i needed, it was a very enjoyable experience.

About the proof of concept, well, as you saw already there are some features still not working, like the cargo on the UI.

Game also need a lot of work on the economic aspects and some extra railroad related buildings to interact with.

Of course the game needs a small tutorial when all these features are implemented, I am already planning how to do that and have a small route between the newbie towns for the player to get used to the mechanics, that still will be simple, but i hope still enjoyable.

Thank you for this jam idea, it's wonderful to see there are other people experimenting with this engine trying to get out of the box, also this experience gave me some ideas for another kind of game using the same engine and theme.

Thank you for submitting your entry to the jam!

I really love how well presented this is!  The audio is fantastic too. I can tell you put a lot of time, care and effort into all the little details such as the scrolling layers on the map and the dynamic weather, lighting and day/night cycle. I think the style is for sure the strongest aspect of the game so far.

I read on your page that this is a working concept and that's fine but for me it kind of showed a little. There are quite a few mechanics going on and there's very little to no information relayed to the player as to how to get started. For example, once I got to the second station, I couldn't pull any more cargo and despite this it gave a warning before setting off without any cargo. It might be me being dumb, but I literally clicked everything (and even thought I busted it when the screen flashed a VERY bright red!)

So yes, I think to make it better going forward, perhaps a small tutorial at the game start would really help players get locked in to what I'm sure would be an engaging and interesting experience :)
