Somehow I made it in by the deadline! Just barely! And my game shows it, too!

Looking at all these other games gives me a fresh perspective on just how much there is to learn, but I wanted to say here just how grateful I am for the experience.

I have been poking around in rpgmaker for a few months now, and working on some other projects, but it was really easy to get overwhelmed or distracted.

This jam gave me a sense of clarity and focus that helped me learn so much! There is still so much more to learn, but now I have a much better understanding of some of the basics of how RPG Maker operates, and it's going to help me in the future when making stronger, more polished titles.

I can truly say that for this jam, the ride was destination,  and I am so happy that I got to push myself as hard as I did and take part in something so special.

I also really look forward to playing a bunch of these games and learning even more from this community!

I thought this would be easy but I kept wanting to add more and more stuff. I kept having to tell myself to STOP

I know!! I had the same problem! Near the end I really had to put the breaks on more and more!

An RPG game jam really rewards and punishes ambition!

your game looks really cool, BTW. And your page looks really professional. So you definitely did a better job than me at managing your time! I am going to start playing some of these games tomorrow once I come out of my game jam coma and I will definitely check yours out ASAP!

yeah I’ve been looking at  these games but I just spent 3 weeks glued to a computer screen and I’m going to try and rest a bit before I start to enjoy them

I totally feel you! The first couple of weeks I was having fun, taking my time, still treating it like a hobby.

The last week the deadline reared its ugly head and hissed at me, and then, if I wasn't working, eating, or sleeping, I was working on the game.
