This is exactly what I am looking for when I make these Practice Circles. You made a game, got some experience and even chose to follow the optional theme. This plat-footer was a very creative use of the theme.. Kudos for that. The enemies being soap and water as an excellent choice. I thoroughly enjoyed the old school difficulty personally. The "funk awesomeness aura" effects were a very nice touch and really popped with the dark background. For a short practice game made quickly while trying out Unity, I think you did a fantastic job!

Keep up working hard like this and you will be a pro in no time! Thank you for taking the time to create and submit this stinky good time! I can not wait to see what is to come for you in the future!

Thank you for your kind words :)
I will do my best to be a productive part of this community!

Hey. I made a video about the Practice Circle Jam and included your game into it. I enjoyed playing it. However, I want to suggest you making some checkpoints or a saving system.  I hope to see more of your games in the future. I recorded how I played your game on the video. You can check it below. If you want me to cut your game out of the video, let me know.

Thx for playing Stinky feet XD
I am taking your feedback and treating it as gold thank you!

Thank you. Also, the buttons may be small because of aspect ratio scaling. You can check how to anchor UI object. It took me a huge amount of time to learn it, and I ended up getting the automatic anchoring plugging. https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/gui/automatic-ui-anchoring-142911
if you get this plugging you will be able to just press f1 and it will anchor ui elements in such way that they will keep its size and position with any aspect ratios or screen resolutions.

Developer

Thx for that i will take a look in those assets, and i completely forgot to do any anchoring so it is miracle that there are any buttons on your screen XD XD XD

https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.ugui@1.0/manual/script-CanvasScaler....
It is all in your canvas scaler and how you have your resolution set. I will go over this is great detail with my feedback chat later, if it is at all confusing

Unity is confusing very much. I know that it has a scaler and screen camera rendering mode. However, it does not help to me. UI stuff changes its sizes and positions frequently because of Rect Transform anchors. If you will try changing aspect ratios or resolutions, you will see how painful it is.

Combination of the two for sure. Anchor placement and the canvas scaler not being set to the proper setting.

I have the afternoon off tomorrow, which now gives me the time to try this finally. Be back soon...

Looking forward!

The mac version does not work well, there is no text or portal visible. Luckily there is a browser version. Love the idea its silly, original and weird. Would have been cool to see this theme better in the levels/other assets. thats its a bit more about feet or something that fits. And for me the sound volume was really low not sure if its my computer but i had to turn it up a lot to hear it.

Overal its a fun experience, i would delete the mac version since without text and a portal its just unplayable but as you say it has not been tested.

The game would also benefit with some music (or maybe i could not hear it) and also more diverse level assets, it seems to be a bit empty. The feet is funny and the idea of firetrucks as enemies fits the game perfectly! Would be great to see more (bad)jokes trough out the game to really make it a weird funny game i would say :)

Yeah, about the mac version, i am using unity cloud to build it and it has been acting out a bit, maby i misconfigured something. Probably did. I will try and fix it. There is no music, as i tried to add a fef things that were out there for free but non really fits the gofenyes so i wil need to make something my self :) I am glad taht you like the idea and i am taking notes from here and will make improvements.

This was a unique expierience for sure xD Not everyone can say they had the pleasure of controlling a giant, six toed, dirt shooting, wall jumping, stinky foot on his crusade against fire trucks and soap!

The game was very funny and aside from some little minor glitches it controlled great. The sound effects are hilarious.

Developer(+1)

I mean, the theme was "Bigfoot" XD I am glad you liked it! Yeah and the sound effects are me on my low end headset.

Thanks for playing!

My updated expierience: I escaped for now!! That was really, really hard. There was always a pesky fire truck that eluded me and I ended up dying. I think the game really needs either some sort of checkpoint system or at least to restart the level instead of the whole game each time you die. Especially considering hoy enormous is the last level!

Designwise, I still love the concept. I really like to be a giant foot, I really like that I am twice as big as the firetrucks and that soap is also giant, I really really like the maybe unnecesary fact that I have 6 toes. The game is such a bizarre and unique expierience, I don't think i've ever played something so weird (and I love weird!)

The sound effects are still hilarious!

I am glad you still like stinky feet! 😂🤣😂 As for the checkpoint system, it is in the "pipeline".

I promise to include some sort of "life" mechanic in order to restart at the same level and also continue where you left of in another session.

Thank you for playing!
