Decent game intriguing mechanic, but three things I want to bring up though. One, the death blocks that teleport you to the start of each section are not very clear and they look like black squares that blend into the background. Two, the ending animation where the main character throws the shield and it explodes at the end of the game kept looping and I never saw an end screen, and if I try to load this save it takes me to the start screen. Lastly the physics could be adjusted to be a bit slower or smoother and have more animations (like for looking up) and for falling and moving but I understand these fine tweaks that are hard to make for a 72 hour jam.

I like the animations and the shield slide mechanic but It kept teleporting me to the start of the room in one place. But other than that looks cool. Good Job!
Thanks! I think is maybe overheat hotbar on the top left, which restarting the level, we don't have time to add the animation of explosion

Vetus Camini is quick platformer with interesting mechanics and story created by two people in 72 hours.
Funny fact: the mechanics with shield slide + jump is the thing from my dreams, which I in similar way accelerated and bounce off the ground. It's been awesome feeling, which I tried to convey in this game. Try it!

A, D - Run
Hold space - slide on shield
Release space - jump
Arrows - rotate shield in air to rebound from some walls
