love it. the only things of note i have are... maybe a little prompt that says shift to run in game and not just on the page might be cool and... i don't think its intended but your decorations on the walls of the rooms still have hitboxes so your player sprite gets caught on them, leading to the occasional annoying death. I was playing the 64x version and it ran great! great job!
edit after continuing to play:
You might also benefit from having a sligtly move forgiving hit box on the sprite, if you are to assume that the light is on the floor, then a hit box that is only the bottom half of the player sprite might feel more natural and a little more forgiving.?
still, i went back to keep playing, so that should say a lot! :)
Agree 100%, I did some play testing with friends before the final submission and I did apply some of the changes you requested, like changing the collision to be more forgiving, having a more explicit control scheme and some bugs, but by a series of events (went out with friends), when I sat down to update the version the submission time was already over :(
I’m glad it was able to leave a scratch on your brain and make you come back to see more of it, or maybe get more annoyed by it!
Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback mate!
I tried to play the game, but after the Godot splash screen, I could only see a black screen. The music is playing though, but I wasn't able to play it. :C
I’m sorry to hear that, I had that issue on my web exports, but I’m not able to replicate it in the windows version
Could you share your system?
Maybe try the 32bit version?
I tried both versions, but the result was the same. I'm using Windows 11 on a notebook with an Intel Core i7 and an RTX 2070 Max-Q. Hope that helps
Just finished, cool game! Beautiful graphics and easy to understand even without tutorial.
