- first note. PLEASE just have a normal menu screen, as people with dyslexia would be physically unable to read all of that moving shifting text. Second. I could not get past that menu as I was unable to select a difficulty level when prompted, so I can't really judge your game. The vision of your game looks good! But if I can't play it I can't judge it, I'm sorry :(

In Alchemy after Dark you play as an alchemist's assistant, one day when practicing on your own you accidentally create a shroud of darkness that envelops you and your teacher's assistant home. She is understandably upset but luckily everything needed to fix it is in the lab, attic, and basement. With light puzzle mechanics (if we have time to figure out puzzles) obstacles (which will just be things moving back and forth) and homunculus(s) (which will just be a little guy throwing things at you) hopefully you succeed in gathering everything your teacher needs to restore light to your home

Great art and fun to play. I did not manage to get passed the moving objects upstairs, but I see this game being worked out to a nice gem <3
I love the animated title screen with the letters moving around the screen, it's like I'm trying to solve a puzzle in the main menu. Anyway getting to my point about the gameplay of Alchemy after Dark, the game has difficulty which I like but it kind of too difficult for me to complete the second floor level, especially when I played on normal. I don't know why the baby difficulty was implemented if I only got a trophy and no real gameplay whatsoever. I felt that the lights were too small for me to see the obstacles that are roaming in one direction to another, I kept running into the obstacles without being aware of them beforehand. The way that this game implements this theme of shadow and alchemy was really well-thought from the start and well-made towards the end of the jam. This entry is solid overall, just work on the difficulty aspect of the game a bit more next time or make some of the light visible outside the player's view radius.
