- Couldn't access GDD. Google doc was not made public
- GDD was locked behind access, so we can't judge this properly. I can kind of get the gist you were going for but no real explanation of the gameplay hinders it badly. What is there works, you can click the cards and the buttons, get your elements, etc. Doesn't incorporate shadow theme at all. Art was simple, but clear in what it illustrated.
- Needs a tutorial. The GDD wasn't publicly accessible. The game looks really neat and somewhat noob friendly. I just had no idea *why* I was doing any of the things I was doing. Good job on your game! Looking forward to seeing you in the next jam!
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?

I didn't to balance the game around so few cards and features. Don't expect to win the game.
At least I learned alot during this game jam. Thanks.

A digital card game.
You play cards that transmute 5 different essences: Fire, Water, Life, Death and Gold. Using those you can then spend essences at the Place of Power, to win the game.
Controls: Just the mouse, left click.
The Game is 5 rounds. 5 days and 5 nights,
During Day: You play cards, take actions on the cards to transmute essences.
During Night: You gather essences from your played cards.
In this prototype, you only get a limited number of cards (4), and only 1 "Place of Power".
Extra Notes
Heavily based on the board game "Res Arcana".

I love the clean look of the UI. The font with the shadow beneath it looks really good and the board looks nice. The art for the cards, especially the Place of Power one, looks super good too!
One of the things that most caught my eye was the animations. The bounciness of the cards as you hover the mouse over them, the icons as they fly across the screen. It feels really satisfying to look at!
It took me a bit to understand how the game worked, especially regarding the Place of Power. Once I saw your comment explaining that it's how you get Victory Points, everything started falling into place rapidly, like the costs of the cards, the different actions each one has and their respective costs and rewards as well.
When I combined that knowledge with the fact that I only had 5 days and nights to acummulate as many Victory Points as I could, things started to become really fun. The Chalice of Life's a bit broken right now, so I chose to try to rank up points without using it. Was able to get 4 as my current highscore!
If anything, the game could use a small tutorial and some sounds, because other than that, it turned out really fun! Could see a leaderboard being able to be incremented into this, new cards, things of the sort.
I really enjoyed this. Very good work!
I like the basic mechanics and see a lot of potential to flesh out the gameplay loop and expand on the mechanics. It's very fun to engage with, despite the lack of balance.
I also noticed that Chalice of Life seems to be bugged---it appears as though its action isn't consuming its resource, allowing it to be used an indefinite number of times in a single day. If Chalice of Life is drawn early enough, exploiting this is a guaranteed win condition, as it produces exactly the resources needed by Sunken Reef to get victory points.
Thanks for the feedback! That's a fun bug, a way to break the game and score way more points than required :)
I need a longer version of this game! Great Work
