  • That is a really nicely made game! I enjoyed plaing it although it is a little hard understanding the mechanics. Maybe you can rework the tutorial to help players get into it. thanks for making this game!

An idle-simulation puzzle game about bees restoring a barren world into vibrant, self-interactive and self-spreading life. Spend some relaxing time in a world that lives and breathes through internal, naturally-inspired rulesets. Or, brave the unknown and seek out the mysterious flowers of the old world, grow and spread your gardens to reclaim these flowers into the fold, and reclaim bits of the barren world; one bee at a time.

Extra Notes
This is my first game jam project, and my second ever project as lead programmer. Wish me luck, this was a huge leap in technical complexity from anything I've done before!
Additionally, though each member of my team did end up needing to leave due to various personal life issues, I still consider them a part of the team consideration. Even if it was very nearly a solo project, I couldn't have done it in time without them.

Wow! I was looking at other tile-based games and you can tell this one put in a sheer amount of effort. It does take a while to understand everything, but I was really impressed with all the mechanics added. Different bee types, different tile types and how they affect each other. And... The spreading theme was completely nailed.

Almost everything in this game spreads, lol! The bees, the forests, the water, the flames. I think this one deserves more recognition, especially for how well it delivered the theme.

As I finished typing this, my whole world was set ablaze xD the fire had spread everywhere! Seriously well done!

Really interesting project. The vibes are fantastic! It was a bit hard to understand what I needed  to do, but once I understood how each bee was effecting things, it started to make sense. Still more to discover for sure. I really liked the hand drawn instructions.

Oh, to others who might be confused: there's a counter at the bottom right which represents how many bees can be out on the field at any given time. If the top number's at zero, you can't "deploy" any more bees until you recall one.

Thanks so much for giving me a quick tutorial on Discord! I think, while respecting the "find out as you go" ethos, a slightly easier path into the core mechanics will be useful for folks as they get started with your system (particularly the number of bees on the field, how to swap between the types of workers etc.)

Having said that, this is a wonderful game with a lot of potential. It's beautiful, atmospheric, and has a really peaceful vibe. It's already very compelling, and will only get more so with refinement. I'm going to leave it in my Steam library and return to experiment with it more, which is proof of its potential longevity!

Very fascinating. It's a bit difficult to parse out what the rules are at first, I feel like having a bit more conveyance to at least get the basic loop going would have been nice. The fact that it plays at all, though, is very impressive. I'm proud of your effort! Also the art made me smile
