  • Very cool! Intuitive, simple, a bit addicting, good use of the theme, and just really good overall! If I had to critique one thing, it'd be that I didn't like how upgrading the hoard size would prevent my access to certain areas because the circle was too big. If I am just a hoard of infected humans, we *should* be able to still funnel down tight corridors. Maybe some music as well, but that's about it! Great job!

Tell us about your game!
Databytes is about spreading your horde of zombies by capturing humans in a chaotic city. Player tries to survive as long as possible by upgrading the horde while dodging the attacks that gets even more intense over time.
Player physically spreads the zombies in the horde, whenever a zombie is hit by a damage it'll be removed from the horde and the health will get lower because of this the player needs to make more decisions about the movement and upgrades in the game.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?

very cool. I got sucked straight into it, the effects and sounds were super satisfying and I loved the progression. I think the bar that would appear on the floor was a bit unfair though because if you dash forward at just the wrong time it’s game over. Still was really fun though! Great work, hope to see more out of the game in the future!

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, I'm aware and working on improving that to make it more predictable and easier to avoid.
Thanks again!

Nice gameplay. The virus ability is very satisfying to level. I like the car and sky beam, but the wall seems like it interferes with the player's sprint ability.

Developer

Thanks a lot!
Wall was for countering the sprint ability when the player gets too powerful, but it's a bit too harsh right now. I'm looking into improve that.
