  • Nice game! I'm not the best at strategy games but the theme is implemented really well here. Nice job!

Really awesome strategy tower defense type game! I am really terrible at these games, but I had a lot of fun playing it! I think some more visual feedback would be nice, like the slime taking over, and possibly illuminating tiles that are in 'danger'. The pure black and white aesthetic was really nice, but made it a bit difficult to distinguish between different elements, so I might suggest some accenting colors, maybe a 'bad' color and a 'good' color? I didn't even notice blobs appearing in other areas of the map because I was so focused on the starting area. haha.

Overall, really solid entry! It makes it pretty clear what your goals are and has a steady difficulty curve. Great work! Keep it up!

Haha, well I'm glad you had fun! Yeah looking back it does seem that things blend together a bit. But that's a great idea having some kind of obvious signal when certain things happen. We did put icons on tiles that are being attacked, but yeah they are a bit hard to notice. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for playing!

I like the aesthetic though the black and white does make it a little hard to interpret what the tiles are. Over all it's kinda easy, but very chill. I would love to see more added and I could see myself playing it for hours.

Thanks for playing! I agree the art style could be tightened a bit more, maybe distinguishing the background, buildings, and blobs with contrast. And yeah we definitely leaned toward making it too easy rather than too hard for jam purposes.  Maybe at some point we can add difficulty levels because I know I at least had fun with it with difficult settings. But I'm glad you liked it overall!

Quick and fun little strategy game! Managed to corner the blob in a ring of walls and turrets pretty quick on the first go. As always landmines solve all problems. The noir theme struck me as a little odd at first, coming from your game page I expected more mystery elements or something in line with the detective role the player takes, but ultimately that's just a minor gripe. Overall everything looks great, sounds great, and plays great. Nice job guys.

Thank you so much! Yeah I agree, a little bit of story in the game would go a long way to tie everything together.  We mostly just thought the noir aesthetic was cool, haha. But thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
