- Neat little game, this is going on my list of notables, it took me a minute to understand the core mechanic here, a few deaths before just trying to run away, which was the solution. That being said I'm also just very bad at you game! Some strong metroid-vania vibes and i think you should lean into that for further development. (and you should develop this further)

ABOUT
You are the only surviving Sprout Scout, tasked with guiding the sprouts back to sunlight on the surface. But, the ancient sprouts have become starved for sunlight over time - an unforeseen complication. To escape to the surface and seek help, you must evade and outwit your frenemies through clever movement and trickery.
CONTROLS
WASD or Arrow keys : Movement
Space bar : Jump.
'J' and 'K' : Mechanics unlocked in-game.

Heey, a really cool idea, simple and efficient, puzzles have a well balanced level of difficulty too. The background could be a little more live, maybe interaction with the light too. Awesome game!

Very cool puzzle game and already a good amount of levels, very impressive!
The puzzles progressed in difficulty very smoothly and I had to think quite a bit to figure out some of them.
Atmosphere is really nice as well, fits the game very well.
The only thing that threw me off initially was being able to beat the first level without collecting the sunglasses. That way I never got the explanation of having the J ability and was a bit puzzled in the second level until I came back to this page to find it in the keybinds.
Overall excellent and fun game, great job!
Haha I commend you, brave soul who jumped straight over the branch in level one. That should be a hidden achievement...
I focused a lot on creating decent progression so your comment is very reassuring! I should definitely make it impossible, not just unlikely, to miss the upgrade though. Thanks for your patience and finding the keybind on the page instead.
Really fun and unique interpretation of the theme. Having J and K weren't convenient for me as a player, and hitboxes were sometimes janky. But overall fun and unique puzzle platformer, Well done.
Thanks for playing! J and K was definitely a bit of a compromise to reasonably fit both WASD and arrow key control schemes. Ideally I would implement the ability to remap keybinds in the future.
