How does your game bring our theme, The Error is the Feature, to life?
Inspired by my first attempts at creating a platformer, Strafe utilises a variety of well known and unknown Movement bugs in games in a short story based platformer.
Bugs such as:
Bad wall collisions pushing you through to escape certain death.
Bad tile layout allowing resetting jumps mid air to cross impossible distances.
And the most well known one, bad top-down movement adding to a faster diagonal movement to barely escape a chasing threat.
Though making a movement system bot fun and intuitive while also making it broken Just Right to allow for these errors to thrive was quite difficult and took most of the time away from levels.
Please Enjoy!

As others have mentioned, I also had issues with the wall jump. On top of that, I found it a bit hard to get used to the controls since jumping with the arrow key isn’t very intuitive for me.
Maybe trying it with the spacebar or even the mouse would work better… though maybe it’s just that I’m not used to these controls.
Congrats on delivering something playable in such a short time!
Hey, I couldn't solve the first level either :( I think we needed to jump on the walls? But it doesn't work that well
During the intro I also had a hard time getting on the platform. Love the art and the chill track!
Yeah I need to do something about that, just face away from the wall and jump, the collision check will eventually push you into the wall and out of the room :3
Thanks for the feedback, I added more explanation and a gif of the trick to the main page :3
Sadly I was unable to solve the first level :/ maybe letting the player try freely the game's mechanic without time limit could be a better option
You're right, I might make the end of the level a bit more obvious too.
