A small typo to correct:
A swarm of gnats buzzes off to the gnorth.
it’s actually deliberate (albeit still silly) due to the presence of gnigel, gnate and the other gnome brothers elsewhere in the game.
Ah, lots of things escape me!
I’ll have to translate the game to try and get through it: there’s a lot of text. So far, I’m making good progress with the cartography (I’ve been able to lower the drawbridge).
