Description
All tracks were composed on an Elektron Digitone Keys and Digitakt using a mix of custom and tweaked preset samples/sounds. They were then run through an Analog Heat MKII and recorded directly into a Zoom H4n Pro, adding some fade ins/outs in Audacity, which is really the extent of my computer/music abilities. I should work on that. Filmed on a Samsung Galaxy S8+.
Escaping Winterhollow:
"Winterhollow is no good. The townspeople are rotten towards us, and we've been arrested more times than I can count. We can't keep eating wheels of cheese to survive here. They won't even let us buy property. I keep reading about the wall separating us from New Achernar. It's 300 miles away so not a whole lot of people have actually seen it, but it's real and we need to get there. Last time we were locked up I overheard talk about a sewer drain that goes underneath the wall. It's supposed to be near all the abandoned crap from the last invasion attempt. Let's go find it."
Through The Sewer to New Achernar:
"We're finally at the sewer; I can't believe we've made it. There's more junk out here than I thought. Glad we found a few things that still work though. These are much better than swords. New Achernar is on the other side through all this shit, are you ready? I heard the guards out there are pretty gnarly. Hope you packed your running shoes."
Artist comment:
A classic story of lovers escaping persecution in their kingdom and heading into a dystopian cyberpunk city through a sewer that goes underneath the mile-high wall which was erected after the attempted invasion by the Achernar Force in 3672 and that separates the two wildly different worlds of Winterhollow and New Achernar. A general tale as old as time.
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
Winterhollow and New Achernar are two wildly different worlds separated by a mile-high wall that surrounds the entire, massive Kingdom of Winterhollow. The center of Winterhollow is 300 miles from any point of the wall, but things change the closer you get. You'll find more and more pieces of scattered technology and weaponry from the Achernar invasion of 3672. By the time you're at the wall there are dead vehicles and weapons for miles and miles. Still, it's too far out for any of this stuff to make it back to your home. The world on the other side is pretty gnarly, but it beats being hated here. At least you have a working gun now.

Nice ambient tracks! For some reason Through the Sewer is giving me mega Mario underworld vibes, but in a cool cyberpunk sort of way...how'd you manage that?
Ooh thank you! I'm thinking the rhythm with the glitchy hi-hats definitely gives it a more "computer error" vibe than just a straight groove. The bass just goes so well with the video game vibe, so it was definitely a good fit.
Good stuff! Love that groove that came in the second track
This really feels like some cool game OST, the theme is nicely put out and it sounds great and clear! Nice Job!
Beautiful sounds and a great ,driving beat. I love how the bassline in the first track carries it. Listened to it few times and am really enjoying it, thanks!
Using real gear sounds so nice and warm, love it! The glitched out beat in the second track is a highlight for me, could definitely see these underscoring a game well. good stuff!
Thank you! I'm glad you think so. I have terrible luck with DAWs so I cherish my hardware setup, even if it's crazy janky.
I really enjoyed your music, nice work!
Thank you!
