Description
I used FL Studio to compose all songs for this jam.
I envisioned it being an RPG but instead of typical RPG battles it would be more like Star Fox gameplay, except instead of controlling a space ship you'd control the dragon you're riding (the White Dragon). For the story: The White Dragon is the last real dragon, as humankind killed all others years ago. However, there exist man-made machines that are supposed to replicate the powers of the dragon: Ersatzons. The manufacturers of the Ersatzons attempt to capture you and kill the last dragon, since it is pregnant and so will soon give birth to more dragons, and if dragons come back from extinction no one would need to buy Ersatzons.
The first two songs take heavy inspiration from the Final Fantasy games, "Forged From The Hand of Man" is inspired by metal-like music (although I wouldn't consider it metal). "Battle With An Ersatzon" is inspired by the battle music of Super Metroid, and I tried to experiment with time signatures and rhythms in it.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The White Dragon's Melody is introduced in the first song, and is woven into all other songs besides "Forged From the Hand of Man", as the Ersatzons are not true dragons. It is, however, featured in "Battle With an Ersatzon" as a warped version of itself, as the Ersatzons are merely warped copies of real dragons. I figured that if this was a series (As implied by chronicles), there would be multiple games leading up to this before The White Dragon became the last dragon.
