Description
(Description in bullets for clarity)

- DAW - Logic Pro X
- Please see youtube link for screen recording
Game Summary - 2D action/puzzle platformer where the main character has the ability to manipulate other people/things places in time. The Time Lord kidnaps her family and takes them to another universe, to which she then chases after them.

ONE - This is Me

- The first section is the very first track you hear when you open the game

- Reflects lighthearted nature of main character

- Bass comes in when the player reaches the tutorial/prologue

- At this point, the main character only uses power for lighthearted things (i.e. playing pranks on others), also how players learn the controls

TWO - The Time Lord

- The main character's family gets sucked into some sort of time purgatory universe, the main character follows just before the portal closes, but the time lord made it so she would end up in a different trajectory at the last second

- The main character needs to travel through a different "stepping stone universe", or level, in order to reach the universe where their family is

- Track is meant to convey the celestial quality of the time lord as well as the fear the main character feels leading up to when it snatches her family away from her

THREE -Slow Motion reverse level

- player enters a universe where time runs backward and in slow motion (player speed is normal)

- must use their powers to dodge objects and reach a portal point so they can escape

- Soundwise, the level is represented with some reverse sounds, and ambient synth to mimic the calming yet erie nature of that universe

FOUR - Reunion

- Emotional synths - galaxy level -> boss level

- Being attacked by a time lord who wants to steal the main character's family for themselves since they never had a family

- Reflects the payoff of the climax and desperation between the two fighting characters

- The main character finally reunites with her family

This is Me: This is perfect for a clock workshop theme, and for the fun and happy life of the main character before the conflict takes place. The carnival organ sound is cool and works well here in this lighthearted theme.

The Time Lord: This is a creepy and eerie ambience. I like the dark atmosphere it creates. It works very well with the story you’ve written and conveys that sense of shock, horror, and fear that would accompany having your family abducted under mysterious circumstances.

Reverse Universe: I love the reverse strings. The space and silence adds to the overall effect you are going for. This is my favorite of the four tracks!

Reunion: The 7th chords and subdued instrumentation gives this track such a spacey vibe. The return of the main theme gives this track warm feeling of recognition that makes it perfect for a reunion theme and a conclusion to your OST.

Overall: This soundtrack feels like it has a well-rounded story arc, though hearing the battle music would have been the icing on the cake! This is an emotional journey and you were able to effectively convey those emotions in each of the tracks you wrote. Good job and thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback and for listening! You made a very good point about the boss music, I'll definitely keep that in mind for future projects.

Really enjoyed these soundscapes, and the creative use of clock tick samples!

I like the goofiness of the first track. I was a bit lost when the rest came, but then I was really carried away by the beautiful, dreamy atmosphere

The Time Lord - Good use of dissonances to create an eerie atmosphere. The large reverb is fitting to give the "stepping stone universe" a larger than life impression.

Slow Motion reverse level - Satisfying reversed sounds mixed with some normal instruments (think it was the bells?). The foley sounds provide bit of ear candy littered across the piece and give it a physical dimensions.

Reunion - Unusual for climatic fight to feel so mellow, but it sort of works. It still evokes the large, cosmic presence of the Time Lord.

Enjoyable experience overall. I wish the tracks were a little longer, but it is a composing jam so I guess I can't really complain.

Thank you for the feedback! I learned a lot from reading your post. I see what you are saying about the boss battle. If I were to edit now I would make Reunion the ending cutscene and then make a more hype version of The Time Lord for the boss battle.
