Description
Night Waltzes is an orchestral soundtrack for a walking simulator.

I made it using musescore to develop the material, followed by Sibelius to finish the sheet music. I then mastered in Ableton 10 live lite, followed by further mastering in bandlab.

In the context of a game, it is a theme that plays as a player explores a magical forest at night.

I imagine the game being an increasingly psychedelic walking simulator where your interactions become increasingly odd. The track develops from a soundscape of the night that turns into a waltz as the world becomes more and more magical.

How does it fit the theme?
To me, the image is a magical deer in a forest. I imagine meeting the deer repeatedly throughout a journey in this forest. The track plays into the atmosphere of the forest, and the change into a waltz indicates the increasing pace of change as the world becomes more and more fantastical around the player.

I don't know if I agree with your interpretation of the theme, but as a song it's really one of the ones I liked the most about the jam

I like some of the unexpected harmonic choices you've made, really catches the ear. Good job!

I love the concept you developed for the game, the increasingly odd interactions is an interesting idea. I thought that this could be reflected more in the track, by introducing more "weird" elements in the music. I liked the sounds you used. Good job overall!

Have to love a good waltz. This one would be perfect for a walking simulator.

I'd give the creativity a 6 if I could, I love seeing orchestra stuff. A waltz was a very smart choice.
