I love that you implemented "quit job" - I wasn't expecting that to have any effect. :)

Haha you found the secret ending! Thank you for trying out our game. :)

This was a really cool little game, I always think that some hints would be useful in this type of game to save the frustration of typing random words in the hope that something happens.

Developer

Thank you, I agree! That's a good suggestion. We hope to expand on some ideas in this at some point. I'm glad you checked it out. :)

The art is really good, authentic old-school feel.

Thank you so much for checking it out! We are going to work on the bugs in the future. We wanted to try to build a proof of concept.

Its an interesting game where you get to explore places. The art style & sounds are good!
It is a bit buggy though, when you press enter when the prompt is open, the textbox gets stuck.
Good job!

Thank you for playing and letting me know! I'll be looking into that after the game jam reviewing is over.

This entry while interesting, appeared to be quite buggy when I tried to play it.

I gave it a few tries but the game would often freeze when the prompt popped up for leaving conversations. I'd try to type "leave" but the keyboard input would be ignored at that point.

When it did work I managed to talk to the two customers but wasn't able to get much further.

Developer

Thank you for checking it out! Sadly the soft lock happens during conversations with customers. We will look into fixing that after the jam is over.  It appears that enter is pressed with nothing in the text box or if leave conversation isn't typed it just stays locked into a text box state without being  able to type. Unfortunately the only work around until after the jam is to reset the game.
