I agree, the two minutes are the most interesting parts.
I'm a big fan of the mix of chiptune and "real" instruments, it sounds good.
Considering the length of the track, you could have more variation, especially on the beat to bring a little breath.
The lead is very off tempo and you got some notes wrong, I'd suggest you use a midi reference next time you do something like this. But it's very different to the original song which I like. It gets really nice near the last like 2 minutes.
I’m aware of the bad tempo it has in some parts, but I really liked it so didn’t bother to change it. I usually have a reference (and actually used one for the last part, probably why it’s the best part in the song) but wanted to test how well I can translate a song by ear. Still glad you liked it :)
