How did you use the theme/limitations?
I made this with a vaporwave movie/show form the 80s in mind.
Did you take inspiration from another creation?
I guess a bit from Owl City.

The second half is really unnecessary if it's a movie opening. If we ignore the 2nd part it's good.
There is a little bit of Kavinsky in your composition and it sounds good.
I really like the sound of the bass I wish it would have come back towards the end.
The sounds are overall well chosen and the harmonic progression is great (I love the 4th chord sus4).
You would gain a lot in production by putting some sidechain on the kick. Especially on such a slow tempo it would boost the drums and make the song even more impactful.
And you're right: I think you did pretty good.
Thanks! Believe it or not, the kick is actually sidechained, but I guess it's not hard enough.
Definetly fit the vaporwave sound you were going for. The toms felt a bit out of place but the section after that was really good! Some of the instruments felt out of place like the pluck and the clap as you were going for a vaporwave kind of song but the synths are really good. Overall, I really enjoyed the song, good work!
Thanks Dio!
