Word limit question (and format-)

Hi! I'm sorry for the trouble, I know I'm not the only one with questions. I'll format these as best I can for ease-

1. Is it alright for our fiction to reference a pre-existing media of the authors own making as long as it's not quoting it directly?
(Explanation: if the fiction is presented as a website, can it refer to a home page that while actually existing is NOT part of the story?)
2. Is it acceptable to submit a project that is just a cover image with a link to a website with the actual entry on it?
(I'd like to submit a webpage hosted on my neocities, which is why question 1 was being asked!)

Any feedback would be appreciated!

No troubles at all!

1- there's been fan entries in the past, as long as you reference clearly in your credits, you should be ok (it's not rule breaking for us anyway)
2- yup, it's fine! But if you want your entry to be archived at the IFArchive, we'll need a downloadable copy (if you don't want it downloadable on itch, you can reach out to one of the organisers directly on Discord/email and we'll handle the rest :) )
