** PLEASE, NO HARSH COMMENTS: The team, other than myself, all have disabilities whether they be learning disabilities or physical disabilities. This means we have worked through extra challenges to participate in this Jam. Constructive criticism is FINE but please do not overtly "bash" our creation. We just want to have fun. **

Platform/Engine: TyranoBuilder

Genre: Light Mystery Visual Novel

Premise: You, the protagonist under the name of Bonbon, take on the role of a Kemonomimi [Cat or Dog] and are transported into the shady world of The Pound. Your friends are transported too and have also grown Kemonomimi features. In The Pound, society is divided into two groups: UnderDogz and OutCats, who have been at unease with each other - and pinning blame for the troubles on the opposing group. Walk the middle line with Bonbon as you investigate this world using the senses and POV of both species to put a rest to this age-old question: Cats or Dogs?

An extremely short, but cute mystery with clues that you must glean from both sides to unravel [This means you'll go through the story's different endings until you reach the Final Conclusion]

Live2d animated character models on endearing backdrops

A little original soundtrack with a few vocal songs

Voice acting

This is our first ever game and everyone chose something to challenge themselves to learn, whether it be a new skill or a program to enhance the skill they already have. Our team consists of myself [writer, "programmer"], KalilaChan [background artist], FANGirl [lyricist/vocalist/voice actress], WinterbogganQueenMiharu [character designer and animator/voice actress], and WinterbogganKingDagda [musician].

The Story has been mostly planned out, with the Intro and some further already written into the engine. No screenshots are available as none of the assets are yet completed, although they are being worked on. I do have some art from the character artist to show although it bears no relation to the game:

And you can listen here for a singing sample from the vocalist.

ahah i love the playful interpretation of the "cats and dogs" and the use of POV from both sides for an interactive fiction.

as a side note--we're really glad you are working through challenges in order to participate in the jam! we hope this can be a space for you to learn at your own pace and have fun with what you can make. best of luck!

I like the sound of this game already justfrom the premise, it sounds like it would be really funny and cutsy :) not to mention it has some good looking art to back it up. I'll be sure to play this one if you get around to submitting it.
