So I thought that 2 buttons works great with some simple turn-based gameplay in style of "Hitman GO". Since the game is a little more complex than 2 things, buttons perform different actions based on the gameplay context. Please read instructions in description.

Overall a pretty good concept! Turn based overcooked is a neat idea. First couple times I tried to play I ended up getting softlocked in the starting position. Managed to get it working on the third try but I didnt realize the game had a game page so completely missed the instructions and ended up being very confused on which buttons were meant to be the ones I was supposed to use(especially since there was a bunch that seem to affect the game). Eventually figured it out and all the stuff made seems pretty good. My computer fans also seemed to be going into overdrive for some reason.

The movements provided seem like they would be more tedious than an actual challenge. Its the kind of game where you would want to go pretty quickly since there's a lot of inputs you need to enter but that's sort of countered by the make one mistake you're done for kind of vibe.

I love cheese

This was a fun concept and would be a neat twist on kitchen simulators like Overcooked! I do feel like the button limitation is a detriment to the mechanics, but I think the idea of having it be turn based is really solid.  would love to see a more fleshed out version!

Hi! Could you please add a WebGL Build. That let people instant check you game. Maybe have a look on our game. You can play it via Browser. Maybe you can give us some feedback about Game Design and the mechanics 🙂 Good luck!

Yeah, that would probably help with review count but it’s kind of a big fuss to do that in Unreal, I’d have to build engine from source because right now I only have the UE5 compiled and game is made with UE4.26 from the launcher, so that would be a little too much work. But thanks for suggestion. It won’t be noticed but at least I have the most in-depth core mechanics from the bunch - i think. I already voted for your game :P

Sorry to hear that you need to build the source again. Maybe switch to Unity :P It was just a hint with WebGl to set the hurdle for players as low as possible.

Thanks for you vote, BUT feedback on mechanic, game design and the game itself is more important for me to growth as developer. But also winning is nice 😜

I think this game has a ton of potential. It's quite obvious that you didn't have a lot of time, but I think you still got an impressive amount of stuff done. I think it would be really cool to have a timer on the customers which tells you how many turns you have to fulfill their order before they will leave. Maybe you could have multiple orders you could potentially serve as well, so you can choose what to prioritize. Maybe you could also upgrade your shop with more ingredients and/or more appliances.

All things considered this is a great prototype and I see a ton of potential in it. Top grades for use of Limitation and Concept from me.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I had in mind (although now I’m having an idea for going more for a “coding” game where you have to automate actions). But thanks, I was actually getting pretty nervous being one of the least reviewed games when I really believe in the concept/mechanic. And yeah, more stuff would be great especially for cooking but I couldn’t find any models that would easily work. Nevertheless, thanks :)

I think the low number of rates is probably partially down to being download only. Does unreal offer a way to make a web build? I also think rating and commenting on a lot of other games is a great way to get more eyes on your game. I really think your game deserves some eyes, it's kind of a hidden gem in this jam imo.
