Absolutely love the gameboy look. Along with all of the art just in general. All the mini games, the monsters and the dice are really charming and I love the opening scene. The music is also really cool and fits the visuals perfectly.
The minigames are also really nice, and the use of the monster in the dark really sets in that sense of dread. I also really like the idea of having to roll the dice mid game to deal with the monster.
Thanks! I made the game in game boy esthetic cause it's way easier to make the art and music lol, and it ended looking very interesting.
I really like the presentation and the mini-games, the game boy format is a personal favorite too. However the limitation of having to roll when you see a monster feels a little tacked on, rather than integrated into the game itself (I actually only had to roll once in 10 minutes of play, possible bug?). Overall, without considering the limitation, I love it.
Yeah, the dice isn't the best option, and the monster appears based on luck so... maybe you're the luckiest guy around here, or its a bug lol, thanks for the comment!
Which brand of cookies you ate, tho?
idk now, it has a heroes themed brand...
Nice little mini games. I think this is a really smart way of incorporating dread -- it's a presence that sticks with you. You can distract yourself -- but you can't ever really escape it. Nicely done!
Really cool and fun! The game was super atmospheric
Thanks! the dice limitation made it more tense, imagine the game witheout the monster on the background... its not the same thing lol
