I felt like I was spiralling in a maze forever. 10/10

Honestly, adding some landmarks, making orbs hold with more than 1, and maybe a bit more gameplay variety would be perfect. Game captured a very unique almost liminal feeling.  Honestly take inspiration from Exit 8, I think that would fit this game concept alot.

Also made it out by the very edge, couldn't find the last orb but somehow I made it from the alchemy table back to the portal in time. Awesome feeling.

The presentation, the music are really good! I love that vibe and artstyle, feels very PSX.

Gameplay's a bit rough, though. My fire meter also froze, and well I thought that was a good thing because I... couldn't find my way around very well. In a maze game like this, it's ideal when you have landmarks to help guide you around. For example, the walls in one section of the maze are made of rock, there's a rat tunnel in this one here corner, a skeleton in the other one, that kind of thing.

Everything was so charming and nostalgic though that it kept me playing, really reminds me of one of those old collect-a-thon games, only in first person.

There are some hiccups with the performance. Idk if it's my browser, but whenever I look up I get crazy frame drops. I get stutters while the map first loads too. Additionally, I had to Unity fullscreen it really fast after reloading the page, partially because of the drops.

Good experience all around, though!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Yes, the intention was to make a PSX feeling. The fire meter is set to froze after you gather all the fire orbs so you shouldn't be worrying about running out of fire but just finding all the potions to craft the orb. Looks like we failed into comunicating that.

Thanks for the tip about the landmarks, will have that in consideration in the future!

We are aware of the performance issues and frame drops, saw them when we ported the game to WebGL and after we uploaded it. Couldn't really find a quick solution but we'll check into that later.

We are happy that you had a good experience!

Good concept, but it was a bit hard to control with the mouse

thanks for playing the game!! yes, we had a lil trouble with the camera movement but we're planning to update it in the future <3

Enjoyed the art style and music in this one! When I get the last fire charge is my meter meant to freeze?

Developer(+1)

Yes! it makes the game easier when you get all the fire charges so you should only worry about the main objective
