This was fun. Cool graphics and music. Controls are smooth (smoother than most Castlevania games, in fact, except for the Symphony of the Night lineage! :) ).

I beat the "boss" very easily, and managed to get the cheering sound effect, but couldn't figure out how to get past the first level anyway.

One quibble: it is a bit misleading how the player starts out with so many hearts, but falling on spikes takes away *two* hearts. This is somehow counterintuitive, because spikes are the first hazard we encounter in the entire game.

Thanks for the kind words and the solid feedback! This was our first game (besides tutorials) and game jam, so its definitely a learning experience.

Nice work, for some reason mine lagged out as soon as i landed on a spike, not sure why, ive played some "heavy" games on this jam, and didnt have an issue like that.

I believe some onscreen instructions - would have made this game alot more accessible.

Appreciate the comment and the feedback! We're going to have to plan things out better, the instructions were cut just so we could submit in time. LOL

Would like if i dont slide down on small slopes. But everything else is ok

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I think we should have used Unity's player controller so that we could have better control over how the player handles slopes, but we really wanted to test our skills. Thanks for the feedback!

Woot!

This was a ton of fun! Learned a lot about having to pivot mid development

All kidding aside, had a great time, thanks for putting on these Jams!!
