Decent little game, I definitely enjoyed the tone and the npc dialogue the most! I found at least one health extension, and the super gun, which made the final fight easier, though I have to ask, is it meant to end on a cliffhanger or is there more to it? The ending left me a bit unsatisfied.

That compliment means alot! That aspect was something we were definitely not confident about. We definitely left it vague on purpose. We had a couple ideas for plot if we were to continue but obviously that stuff is unknown.

I'm enjoying this. It's longer than I expected though. Good job on getting some unique power-ups in the game, the head rocket is a blast to use and the lightning gun looks complicated to implement haha. I really enjoyed the humor enthused throughout the game, the main character's nonchalant attitude came through in all their interactions and the sound effects accompanying the characters all made me smile.

Suggestions or things I noticed:

- While I really like the head rocket, it's not a super familiar movement mechanic so I almost forgot I had it and thought I was stuck at one point because I hadn't really used it since the initial big rocket. Maybe add a few more times that you have to use it just to reinforce that it exists.

- On the disc boss, I got hit a lot of times but was almost at full health when the battle ended. I wasn't really paying attention to my health bar during the battle, but either something was healing me or I wasn't taking the proper amount of damage.

- This game is big and all the rooms look pretty similar, so a map system is probably going to be a necessity if you continue with it.

All in all I'm having a good time. I just got crushed by a bunch of collapsing doors so I'm going to call it a day, but I'll continue in the morning and see if I can't beat it. Thanks for the game!

- oh, as for those doors, I didn't see that I was lifting a very long corridor of them when I was charging the battery and thought it was just a single door, so I just did a half-charge. Maybe show a few more doors on screen all lifting at once to let the player know a gauntlet is coming up.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think if we separated the rocket and the roll a bit there might be a better distinction too. I think getting two at once might be a bit too overload. As for the disc boss I had definitely implemented him with no health ups while testing in terms of balancing so that may have been a factor. A map system was something we talked about but never really got around to implementing. You're very close to the end now, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the final boss enjoy!

I think getting two at once might be a bit too overload.

Eh, I dunno, I think it's clever to have it serve double duty, I just hadn't used either ability in awhile so I momentarily forgot about the jumping portion of it.

That boss was... tough. I definitely didn't find the secret weapon so I fought him with lasers. Overall it's a fun fight, a lot of variety of skills to dodge / learn the patterns of. I think it's hurt somewhat by the fact that I was using a keyboard instead of a controller, but I would say that about any platformer type game really.

I think the dark room version of the boss needs a bit more visual clarity that you're actually moving forward since I was unsure if the boss was lying about that or not (there is some indication when you move backwards to avoid the AAAAAAA attack, but that's only if you're paying attention).

I very much enjoyed the funky main theme remix during the end credits. Kudos on the music!

Glad to hear that you beat it! The dark room one is definitely something I wanted to revise a bit by the end but didn't get around to doing so. I didn't really want to add in a background because I kinda liked the dark corridor vibe to reflect you kinda being in a textbox or something like that but I probably should have added something more to give more of a visual guide to where the player was. I was thinking maybe some wires hanging from the ceiling or something. The music was done by our teammate Joey he was fantastic definitely check out his other stuff if you get the chance :)  https://soundcloud.com/joey-soumokil Thank you so much for playing!!

He, this game is cool, much better than I guessed from the screenshots. The voices are very cool. I like it :-)

Thanks! ^_^, Dylan and DMacHDD worked very hard on it. Really glad to hear you like it.
I'll check your game out later, looks very interesting! :-D
