I wish I could have given this more of a review but it felt so unfinished, animations was very incomplete as well as the collision system but there are some redeeming qualities to the art though. Is the boss even finishable?  I tried to jump attack in the boss room but it was extremely buggy.

nice sprites are nice (there are some visual bugs)

the music loop is a bit short

sometimes fall through platforms and the collisions are a bit off. like you can stand inside the side of a wall (if its to the left but not right)

the game controls well anyway and the animations are good to. the block animation moves the player back quite a bit though

some explaination of the controls would be good. i found pretty good sword cleaning animation pressing E when trying every key on the keyboard. so that was neet

couldnt hurt the snake boss because the sword attack doesnt work midair

also get stuck while walking occationally

Thanks for the entry! This one has a lot of potential. The mood and feel that you have set up, especially in the outdoor part in the beginning is great! I love how you've set the scene with the sunset palette, the blurred trees in the foreground, and then all of a sudden you see what is going on with these buildings and it's fantastic! It took me a minute to realize what was going on but then I was like WTF!

I love descending into the caves also. I think an easy thing that you could do is ever so slightly darken the screen as you go further and further down; also maybe have torches on the walls or something, etc just for some variety. Good job on the acid pits!

The enemies are ok, but attacking and combat in general seems pretty bugged. I ended up just jumping over pretty much all of the enemies to advance into the level. The boss seemed a bit bugged too, but I love the idea of a huge cobra/snake that you have to fight! I ended up using the punch or magic or something on him, but when he got all the way down nothing happened. I assume that is the end of the game.

The collision seems a bit off as well; I think that there are some colliders that have hard angles (90 degrees or close) that stick out of the ground, especially further down in the caves near the bottom. I would be running and stop for no reason and have to jump.

Overall it was fairly enjoyable though. I would say the biggest things are the bugged combat and colliders. If those got a little more work and attention I think the whole experience would be more enjoyable.

Hi, thank you for taking your time to write this review. Originally we had planned multiple boss fights and multiple areas but as it happens in game dev we ran out of time and only had time for one area and a very buggy boss and enemies.  At first we were planning to use a dragon that comes down and burns the village but we didn't know (still not that much) how to do a cutscene in Unity.

The cave part is going to be redesigned from the tile palette to the actual level design. Also darkening the actual cave as we descend is a pretty cool idea.

For the  cave due to time constraints we used a prebuilt tilemap and maybe that was the issue of the colliders. The technical side needs a lot more work to be done and that's what we're focusing on right now.

Very nice. Very atmoshperic and mysterious, it gave me a Shadow of the Colossus vibes. Loved the designs of enemies. It was very buggy too, especially some random colliders throught the game. Also level design was little weird - platforms that lead you only to your death. Also half into the game i started just avoiding the enemies, it was much faster to end it this way. Bugged out heavily at the boss fight so I couldn't finish it. Overall I really enojoyed it but it needs it's mechanical problems fixed :)

Hi, thank you for reviewing our game. The vibe was inspired by Shadow of the Colossus and I'm really glad that it got through.  We're now focusing on the technical side of the game as well as the level design which after playtesting at the last moment felt pretty bland.
