such a charming art style!@

Actually pretty solid, reminiscent of a full blown mobile game

Once I got the hang of it, The game was fun and a little addictive, Keep the good work.

The game nicely fits the theme. I think that throwing spear would be easier and more intuitive using different button but overall gameplay is consistent.

Once I got the hang of it, shooting the harpoon and swimming felt really good. I don't know was it by design, but I loved how I could do the swimming to the beat of the song and timed it perfectly. Well done!

I love all the different mechanics. Of course it's tricky when you have limited time to teach them to the player. Presenting all that text on the screen is not ideal, but I can understand why it's there.

I had the same struggles as others with the controls. However, I appreciate how the swim and shoot mechanics are designed. It's too tricky for me personally, but it's very obvious that great care and attention went into the game.

Awesome job, team! Good luck with the game jam and on your future projects :)

Cohesive and immersive design

Thank you!

Hey there! It was fun to swim around! Controls were difficult to grasp, but made sense. The writing was terribly difficult to read. The white font against a bright background was too much. Maybe a black outline? Despite that, I stuck with it and the swimming mechanic was worth it!

Art is cohesive, too. Overall a fun gaming experience! Congratulations!

Developer

Thank you!
Yeah, we see that the text is very hard to read, especially when the background is the sky. Honestly, we thought of creating the text guide almost at the deadline, as we were afraid that players might be confused without it. We did include a black outline, but it was probably too thin to be noticeable. We tried adjusting it, but we were worried that we wouldn't have enough time to upload the build, so we just make sure it was readable at least when you are fully inside the water. We will take this as an experience to be better next time. Thanks again for your feedback!

Had some fun with it, controls were quite hard to handle though.

Glad you having fun!
We will take your feedback to make it a better game next time!

It's a cool game, overall i enjoyed the idea but didn't quite like the controls since you'll need a mouse to play. Besides that, I think the spear is a little difficult to aim since the graphic is a little misleading.

Developer

Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks for the feedback! We are both programmers, so making art is quite difficult for us, so we apologize if some graphic is misleading. With this experience, we hope we gonna become better next time!

cool but my spear went out of bounds and i couldnt get it

Developer

Thank you for your review!
Sorry for the bugs!  When the spear is out of bounds to the ground, in our testing it automatically goes back to your hand. But if it goes to the side boundary, it stuck there. We just found this recently, so we apologize for that! We will try to fix it next time since editing after submission is prohibited. Anyway, thank you for playing and review!
