I like how colorful the main character is! I included it in my compilation video series of the Low Rez Jam games, if you would like to take a look :)


True to the 64x64 resolution limits, and the game made me think quickly. The only problem I had was not knowing what the key would do to poor little Gus...


@MSTOP, thanks for comment. I totally agree with the one life thing. Had I had more free time to work on this, I would have implemented that (not that it would be that hard to do).

As for that block counter glitch. Totally just looked at the code and yeah, its obvious now that going under zero tiles can cause this. Fixed it now.


If I remember correctly, the levels are procedurally generated, correct? The game has an interesting way of randomly placing keys and locks without making the level impossible, something I haven't been able to figure out. I think the visuals do their job well even those they are 8x8 sprites. One recommendation I have is to give the player more than one life. It is a bit frustrating to see all your progress erased just from making one mistake, even if it's just a small one.

Also, I think I somehow broke the block counter :P
