Updated with a fix for the crash. Was just a bit of menu navigation code that was more clever than it needed to be ;)

Really nice looking game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Low Rez Jam games, if you would like to take a look :)

stuartlangridge, thanks for pointing out the bug! It appears to be when pressing z+x plus right or left on the menu that it crashes. I will have to put out an update.

There is a slightly rule bending option to change the resolution to 128x128, just changes SCREENS to 2 ;)

Sadly, the game crashed with an error (screenshot at imgur) when I tried to increase the growth rate; I think I may have pressed "right" and Z at the same time. I love the concept; it would be nice to see a version of this which wasn't constrained to 64x64 and the Pico, as an art piece and less clunky to fiddle with the parameters!
