Did you work in a team?
Just me. I was the programmer and the graphics artist.

Was the resolution a challenge?
Somewhat, the low resolution limits the players view which can make it difficult determining if its safe to go somewhere. To help with this the oxygen tanks also serve as indicators of where the player can/should go. I also changed the view setup so that rather than having the view centre on the player its offset slightly in front of the player giving the payer a larger view in front of them.

What did you learn?
This is my first game jam. I think I joined in part due to being attracted to the low resolution restriction and to motivate to actually make a game.
Working with a perspective tileset I made myself present problems which I hadn't really faced before and if I do in the future I might design the tileset so its easier to align collision objects to it.

Thanks :)
While it might not be obvious the oxygen tanks are specifically placed to indicate where the player should fall/jump though they're not in all places. I'll probably release another version after the voting period with the ability to shift the camera above/below the player, increase the resolution or decrease gravity. One or a combination of these will help with the difficulty.

Definitely difficult but I loved the design and music of the game. It was fun to explore to see what all was there. Just wish there were more ways to know if something was going to be a leap of faith or not for some of the things you had to do. Or maybe I just wasn't good at solving the maze lol. Good job overall though! I did enjoy it.

I really love the astronaut sprite! The minimal palette is nice too.

This game looks promising, but I'm having trouble with the controls. I feeling like the player should walk by default and then run when the shift button is held.

Thanks. :)
I'm using a four colour alternative pallet for the gameboy for the sprites and tileset with an additional 2 colours for background and one for the oxygen bar.
I had a lot of ideas but in part due to slacking off a lot of the time some of them did not make it into the final product which as is I crammed on Sunday for hours to get even this far.
Once the voting period is over I may release an updated version of the game with a revised control scheme maybe caps lock to enable or disable running or make it possible to invert the default behavior and just have shift as a modifier.

I think the camera could use alot of work

Initially the view was centered on the player and there was no follow delay. However later I offset the view so the player could see more of what was in front of them and added a delay so the view didn't get jolted when changing direction.
Once the voting period is over I might release another version of the game with higher resolution and go back to a centered view and/or remove the vertical delay from the camera which probably isn't needed and results in 'bobbing' effect when jumping.
