Amazing, feels very complete. It does get very repetitive after a few battles. Congrats to the team!

This project is phenomenal, easily in a class of its own. It shows that you’ve got a very solid team that is used to collaborating with amazing results. Thanks for sharing, I look forward to seeing where the project goes.

Regarding feedback, my main issue is that I experienced brief but significant lag on the browser version, typically around times where there was a lot on the screen. Perhaps shaders are compiling at runtime? I also found the movement around the combat board felt like it floated ever so slightly, and that maybe speeding up movement would make it feel “crispier”, for lack of a better word.

Anyways, no complaints at all. Amazing stuff.

Well, there goes my hopes of winning.

I don't really know what else to type here as even though this isn't the types of games I typically play, it's still impressive on it's own merit, let alone the game jam's. My only complaint is that the text is a bit too slow and there's no way (as far as I'm aware) to make it faster. Other than that, congratulations! You've most definitely won here!

Thank you for your kind words!!

You can pass the text by double clicking. Clicking once doesn't do it, which I assume is to avoid accidental text skips, especially on a touch screen.

What can I say except "you win"?

I got some hitches at the end of the last level but it's impressive the game ran so well on my dying laptop to begin with.

Here's the deck I ran with, breaking it down for fun:
- healing and shield; along with some very basic dodges they allow you to tank pretty much any encounter,
- missile barrage; because of most enemy attacks coming out in front of them, it isn't advantageous to use attacks that also require you to get in front of the enemy, especially for enemies using laser. Although the missile barrage may appear weak because of its random nature, it allows you to dodge as you please, has decent damage, and full coverage of enemy ground.

Thanks so much for playing!

I'm glad you appreciate Missile Barrage, that's one of my personal favorites :D  I tried to make each weapon viable and it makes me happy to hear there isn't one dominant favorite (altho I have heard the sword is what most of the uber-gamers have used to beat the super-hard semi-secret boss, it's probably a bit OP)

Holy hell you killed it with this entry, like, this isn’t just a “polished game”, it’s a fully fledged game I’d stumble upon on itch and spend a week or two in!
