[FOR ANYONE WONDERING HOW TO FIX THE GAME NOT DISPLAYING CORRECTLY ON WINDOWS]

RIght Click on the application and make a new shortcut.

Then Right Click on the shortcut and go to Properties.

Under Properties go to the "Shortcut" tab, you should see a dropdown menu called "Run". Simply change if from "Normal Window" to "Maximized".

Then just run the shortcut. This makes the game open in fullscreen mode and fixed the problem for me, hope this helps.

Thanks sooooo much for this! I’ll make it so it stars maximized in the next update, also thanks for all your great feedback in your other comment!

This game looks really promising! I wasn't able to play much because I was having the same issue other have reported, if I had to guess I'd say the export resolution is probably something higher than 1080p and its not set to scale to other resolutions? Regardless, from what i could see the art and sound design is really solid and I'd love to play a fixed version. The runner of the jam said patches are allowed so I'd love to see an updated version with this issue fixed so I could give a proper review. Lots of potential here tho seriously, keep at it. (Also based ur based for using godot)

Dang, thanks so much for trying though! Cinnature said that making it fullscreen helped solve the problem for them, did that not work for you?

I was able to get it working and posted another comment explaining it.

I really like this entry! Now that i was able to actually play it I'll share my thoughts. Like I said before the art and sounds are awesome. The player character is super cute(I loved the little sleeping animation when you go idle, a cute little touch) and the other characters are very charming. The environment art is also very good and felt very high quality. The music at the end really matched the vibe and made the ending satisfying. Though I think the game could have benefited from a little bit more ambience in the general areas.

As for the gameplay the movement feels quite good. My only complaint would be that it feels a bit too slippery at times. Stopping from running and landing makes you slide a pretty considerable distance, that combined with tight platforming makes it kinda difficult and not as intuitive. The rest feels very nice though, nice weight to it, wall jumping feels good the ledge grab is a nice touch. The intro puzzle was fun and interesting but largely felt pretty disconnected from the latter half of the game, it felt like the intro could have been cut and I wouldn't have really noticed.  I don't know how important the glowsticks are to the gameplay but unfortunately I wasn't able to pick them up, I was able to interact and get the animation but I never received any.

I found just getting lost in the caves to be quite fun though, and definitely helped hit that liminal vibe I felt you were going for. A bit of extra ambience for that part of the game would help the vibe hit very well in my opinion. I was surprised by the sheer number of rooms in this, despite it being a jam game.

Overall I really enjoyed this entry and I think you should all be very proud of what you made here. Lots of potential both in this project and this group. I hope you keep making things. <3

This game is really neat! The movement and platforming felt good, and I liked the mechanics that were introduced, especially the light switch stuff! I think the glowsticks might have been bugged for me, I wasn't able to throw them but I was able to collect them?

I also had a similar issue to Sojourn Studios where the resolution was too high on launch, but i was able to fullscreen it. I think it might have been due to having multiple monitors, but that's just a guess! I'm also on Windows 11.

Other than that though it was really cool and I'd love to see more! I livestreamed it here if you wanna see the playthrough, I started it around 1:35:05

I just watched your playthrough, thanks so much for sticking with the puzzles and playing it for so long! For some reason you weren’t able to pick up the More important pickups like the glow sticks or the net (which you did find in the chest)! We plan to circle back around and fix that as well as put in a better indication that you did pick up a net (also to add more music throughout the game)

The glow sticks are used to see invisible objects and platforms that are supposed to give you hints as to where to go so it’s a shame that didn’t work for you.
You did get very close to the end of the game though! After giving them the net the end of the game is up that ladder!

Thanks again!

I couldn't play this game unfortunately - the resolution was so high that I could only see one corner of the screen :(

thanks for trying! What operating system did you try it on?

Following the other advice on here, I got it running in full screen and loved it! Great job!

If you haven’t had a chance yet, I’d love to hear your thoughts on my game too! No worries if you’re busy, just thought I’d ask!

I only have a Mac or I would love to play it!
