3D Spatial Memory

Please describe your creation.
My research team (The Holodeck Project) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is developing this test to show how VR and Leap Motion open up new options for scientific testing. Traditionally such memory tests are done with paper and pencil or on 2D computer screens, but I don't think this tells you much about how you remember things in the real world. By combining Leap Motion with Oculus Rift, we want to come up with tests of memory and attention that more closely match how we think and interact in everyday life.

We modified the magnetic pinch script from the Leap Motion assets. A good chunk of time went into making grabbing as responsive and natural-feeling as possible.

We're grad students, not game developers, so this has been a great learning experience/trial by fire. We learned a lot, and I'm sure creating the next task will take 1/4 the time.
