The visual effects were awesome. Felt like I was playing on an old arcade screen. I really like the music and SFX. Is the world procedurally generated? I had fun live streaming this game, especially after getting those cool upgrades. One thing I noticed was it became a little move once your horde got big enough, it seemed the squelet's would get stuck on one another or the environment. But nice cohesive game! Would be cool if there was a final boss you had to build up to fighting, or a town of people. Congrats on taking 28th!

Seen a lot of necromancy games submitted to this jam and I think this might be the best I've played so far. Love the CTR filter that enhances the old Atari style graphics. The increasing enemy sizes and the huge ammount of perks for your army made me play much longer than I thought I might. Got to the point where I had so many skeletons the game was having performance issues. Really fun to see how many combinations of traits your army can have.  Only thing to check out is that some of the really big enemies seemed to be invincible, or couldnt be hit. Excelent work!

Had a lot of fun with this one, can see myself playing this again and again. love the old school art style.

I got to this point in the game and it froze. Assuming I probably had to many skeletons in the game

Thanks, I'm happy you liked it
The game isn't really optimized so it isn't surprising it freezes at a point, but I didn't think someone would go that far in the game with such a high score

Fun little game. Works smoothly, but the skeletons don't really avoid getting caught on obstacles. I like the 8-bit visuals! I also like the soundtrack but it doesn't really match the 8-bit vibe.

Is this the boss? It took a very long time to kill him!

Thank you, glad you finded it fun
There isn't really a final boss but the longer you play, the strongest the knights become, so I guess you encountered one with very many hp

Cute game! I think I haven't really noticed the upgrades after choosing them, like "vampire skeleton" or "skeleton with a sword". Are the chances of they actually do something very low, or did I miss something?

Thanks for your feedback!
For the question : when you take an upgrade who can give skeletons new capacities the future skeletons you resurrect have a chance to have this capacity and this chance get bigger when you increase the upgrade's level.
The first idea was to change the skeleton's sprite to show its capacities but, because of time, I couldn't make it.
