How did you implement the Theme and Special Object?
You use the anvil to craft the items for Santa! (walk to the anvil and press e which opens the crafting menu)

Good job! I really like the premise, and the music is very good. However, the character movement seemed a bit clunky. The elf continued walking for some time after I stopped pressing the buttons. Additionally, I couldn't make sense of the barrel things; are the parts you take out of them (the head and the body) random? But overall, it's a really neat and nice game! :D
Yes they are random lol, I ran out of time to complete the full game logic and I broke some things, thanks for the review!
Awesome work for a first jam
This is a good game for your first game made, especially in a game jam. If you want to improve on this game, here are some suggestions:
-Make the player move faster.
-Make it so that the player can craft different kinds of items instead of just rubber ducks and robots.
-Increase the timer from days 7 and on. It's impossible to craft all of the items on time unless the player uses an exploit. I found out that the best way to beat the game is to continue moving while Santa's note is on the screen and while the timer disabled. This way, I could craft all of the items on time.
-To remove the exploit I've mentioned above, make it so that the player cannot move until they close Santa's note.
I created all of these glitches on accident in a last minute effort to fix the game (worked for 8 hours straight on the last night). The game was supposed to have all 6 toys shown in the barrels randomly selected but I tried to fix another glitch and broke that. Sorry to my team.
congrats on the first jam, i really like the pixel art and music
Pretty fun! Great job :D
