While the controls I think were slightly on the wrong axis I think, the game was really cute. I could certainly see this game being one of those cute exploration games with some sort of deep philosophical story while just vibing to the music, if expanded on. Great job for your first jam! :)

Thank you so much for your comment, will definitely keep working on it :D
Really inspiring to see the game you guys submitted, and hope to get to your level in the future! :D

Thanks! You gotta start somewhere. My first game jam I did, I ended up not even submitting since I was so embarrassed/disappointed with what I had made, it wasn't even a playable game. Keep up the good work! :)

Great look and great music.

The controls felt weird. Like the axis was wrong. I would never walk where I wanted to. It was weird.

Nice simple game though. And the character design was delightful.

Cheers

I really liked the design of the character and it's animations. I think the main issue with the gameplay lies in your collision

Developer

Thank you :) was it the overall collision or just one type? I'm aware that there is one area where you can get out and fall of the map XD

Submitted

Honestly the overall collision, there was a spot where you were supposed to go up some stairs but the collisions made it really difficult. Besides the issues with the collisions the idea of having them all around the player makes it more like the player is just running into the collisions to find an opening, if you look into leading lines it could help. Take a field for example with a stone pathway, the path is very clear to the player. Now remove the path and add invisible walls all around the player without indicators telling them which direction to go, it then becomes really hard for the player to understand where they're supposed to go

Developer

this is really valuable feedback! will definitely look into this for the next project!

thank you so much!

I like the design and the graphics a lot! Really neat little concept too. The movement was unfortunately a little buggy but apart from that, cool little game. :)
