Nice and well-rounded game. The only major problem with it is that the resolution is way too big, and I had to awkwardly scroll to the fullscreen button to make the game fit on my display.

About the gameplay: The movement feels much too slow.
I didn't make it to the second floor either. How do I get up there?
This is a ladder. When you get close to it you need to press the jump button a few times
maybe the keys W and arrowUp would be a better assignment for the ladder?
