Food Truck Wars's itch.io pageHow did you use Houdini to make your game?
Used existing third party HDAs to make the cities and the customizable trucks. To support gameplay elements (like the loading areas and pedestrian placement)
Some food items - (the pizza made it into the game) were modled in Houdini. The city generator was modified to randomly select supply spots - a giant Pizza sign was attached to each and the sidewalk cut to make a loading area. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll_TVSqTxiw)
List everything that was made before the jam. Pre-built assets, textures, etc
Core city builder comes from a tutorial by Indie Pixel
Core truck builder made the range of trucks is a tool by Noah Gunther (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/GadlK4) - modifed a little to add the serving windows.
Which game engine or platform did you use to make your game?
Unity 2020
List any instructions and tips for playing your game here.
Note - windows build available on the itch.io page, but for some reason it is not included in this submission page, it was uploaded before the freeze.
Pick a name, pick a truck and pick a level then drive with [WASD] and boost with [Shift]. Your food truck only has limited capacity and there are a lot of hungry peeps in town. (They would love 3 snacks each if you can manage it).
Head back to a loading bay when you run out of supplies and restock to continue your run.
Having the most loyal customers in the end certainly helps but it is no guarantee of a win given the chaos of a typical food fight.
Every round you are battling against someone who played the game in the past. Can you get to their customers before they do? Can you build a loyal following that will rally to you in the final battle?

So great!
That was a fun game! I really liked the food fight at the end! :) Thank you for making a WebGL build!
Music written especially for this jam by the fantastic Fatal Exit - who should be listed as a co-submitter!
