I was having issues getting it going with an ultrawide monitor (the UI does *not* work at this resolution LOL), but I eventually resolved it and really enjoyed the premise. The plot really thickened... I think you have a great base to really flesh this out! The plot was pretty straightforward to follow and then point fingers at the darn culprit once they gave their reaction, so I feel like threading an element of intrigue to keep me the player on my toes will make this really pop. I super enjoyed the stylized nearly Persona-style UI and felt like the dialogue fit the characters alright.

Please do continue this!

Thank you for for playing and leaving a reply. I really have said this to all, but you are totally right.

I'm gonna be honest, I don't even know how to support other resolutions hehe, I also thought I had forced 1920x1080.

My skills are lacking in the story and scripting department, I'm not too creative and was constrained to my code. Spoiler alert, is awful haha

Thanks for the artistic praise, it makes me really happy.

Cheers and maybe!

Really well made Game! I really love the Artstyle and how everything looks! The actual Culprit was as other have said quite easy to find out. But overall really like this Game!

First off, I am very impressed you decided to go with a 3D game for a game jam, on top of being a solo dev. You programmed, made the story, drew the characters and created the models all by yourself??? That is some insane work right there and you should be proud! Great job there! :D Also love the Persona-esc UI and the character portraits!

Like Î¶Î¿Î¹Î´ mentioned, I do feel the overall story and investigation are a bit straightforward, and there were elements of the dialogue that made me think I missed something (Like Bae having a picture of ______ in a dress). Also, with the members on the island, it was pretty easy to distinguish who was the culprit (I won't mention who for spoiler reasons, but when I checked the electric box and found ____, it was already tied to 2 people, and then you have her first reaction, I was 99% sure the culprit was ______).  Also, the point-and-click movement mechanic did have some minor bugs, like the path finding being off in certain instances but that's very minor.

And again, this is extremely impressive for a single-person effort! If you can build off of the mechanics of the game and dedicate more time to the investigation, this can grow to be a great game!

Thank you for your feedback and for playing.
I say this to all but you are totally right.

My skills are lacking in the story and scripting department, most likely the picture is a scripting error that is on me.
At the beginning it was going to be a retelling of Then There Were None by Agatha Christie but yeah...I'm not good enough ehe.

Thanks for the artistic praise, it makes me really happy .

I DONT KNOW WHY PATHFINDING SOMETIMES IS WONKY AAAAAhh T_T

Cheers

The assets were really nice, I liked the look of the game and it was fun to traverse (though I do wish there was a slightly faster movement option). The polish overall felt really nice, especially for a single-person effort.

I don’t know if it was intentional that the palm tree leaves were only front-facing, just wondering if it is. My other comment was that the click to return from the pause menu bleeds into the game and overwrites your existing movement, it’s minor and not a huge deal but still something you could think about if you go back to the project.

I had fun overall, great work!

thank you! The tree thing is intentional but i know it doesnt look good. At the beginning the game would hace static cameras so palm leaves are just planes.

Higher speed? For sure

I didnt know the return click bleeds. Thanks for letting me know.

Cheers

The title screen alone adds a level a production value that really elevates the feel of the game, as does all of the unique character portraits and assets.

Very impressive visuals! Love the colors and lighting, everything just pops. Gameplay works as intended, and its not too hard to figure out who the culprit was.
Personally, would like to see the story get pushed WAY more in terms of chaoticness. You have yakuzas, war criminals, scammers, world enders, church with perverts, loan sharks, gamblers, substance dealers, stalkers, corrupted cops, having a stolen trophy as a prank as the storyline just feels a little missed opportunity here.
Part 2 using the same base you have here in the future maybe? ;)

Hi there! Thank your playing and for your feedback! You are totally right.

At the beginning I thought of making it like a game of Clue but with Hololive members being murdered or murderers, but it seemed a bit dark to me and I doubted if it would fit Cover's guidelines.

But you're right, literally everything you've listed is a better idea than mine lol. It could totally have a Part 2 with what you said.

Cheers
