Looks really Fun even though i wasn't able to test the Multiplayer function (What are Friends? Can you eat it?). I didn't even notice you could continue to the right without watching some other playthroughs LOL would be nice to get an indicator to move to the next stage. And maybe also lock it so you can only move until all Enemies are defeated or else the whole purpose of the first Room is just to be skipped.
I wasn’t able to try out the multiplayer but the idea seems really cool, and having networked multiplayer in a game jam game is very commendable.
More feedback on when you’re out of bullets would be nice, it’s easy enough to hit reload constantly to have no ammo issue but otherwise all you have is the text on screen and realizing you have no bullets right before you get hit and lose instantly.
Small bugs I ran into, it’s possible to get hit after Bae is defeated which puts the game over screen over the win screen. I’ve also hit the side transitions at the same time as hitting an enemy which causes you to game over on the load screen as it transitions you into the next area and it looks weird.
I’d like to see an updated version in the future!
I think the idea for this game is really cool!
I attempted playing it with my friend but we encountered various bugs which made it hard to complete.
If everything gets hashed out and cleaned up it could be a really fun idea.
Bae was Caught. Also, I didn't know I had to walk to the left side of the screen to go to the next level.
OMG A ZETA GAME!
My Zeta Bias aside, I feel like this concept has a lot of potential and the idea is quite fresh. It's something I could see developed further.
That being said, the multiplayer was a bit broken when I tried it and I could not get very far when I played with a friend. The Bazo player had a lot of difficulty moving after being connected. The fact it works as well as it does within the timeframe you have is impressive though. I've worked with network games before and even getting them set up in any form is tough.
Thank you!! you play it with your friend? Awesome :D
It look like there is a problem with Bazoo's movement control, I will fix it.
So many thing I want to do with this game, but looks like the multiplayer itself is still a big scoop for this jam. I learn so much from this.
Very simple but cool use of multiplayer feature! I like that there is also solo mode as a fallback for friendless like me.
Game seems to lack BGM, even though I noticed that there are credits for BGM, is it only me?
Another thing to point out is that bomb feels completely outclassed by the pistol, is there any point in switching to it? Maybe give it a lasting AOE explosion after it reaches the ground or something?
Thank you for the feedback :)
I actually add the BGM in the last export but I upload a wrong zip and forgot to check it.
As for the bomb I totally agree with you, I actually planned to make another enemy that require the bomb to defeat it.
We will update soon after the jam over
