I love looting games. Only thing is I found the movement a bit disorienting. I like how the world is turned 45 degrees however I don't think the player movement should be effected by this stylistic change. When I press "W" I expected to move up rather than forward relative to the character within the world. Especially where I only had 10 seconds to loot things became very difficult. Otherwise, I thought this one was very cool!
>What was the most frustrating moment or aspect?
The choice of the E key is clunky when the movement keys are so close to it. Another key would definitely be preferred, maybe space.
>What was your favorite moment or aspect?
Manically running around and trying to collect things was engaging.
>Was there anything you wanted to do, but couldn't?
I wanted to be building towards something, which I assume will be added later.
>If you could change, add, or remove any 1 thing, what would it be?
Assuming there are plans to expand the game already, I'd replace the E key with something further away or allow key rebinding.Took me a second to figure out how to loot stuff. The 'E' key.
I think the idea is solid. Plenty to expand on. The music when you break into the building is mood. The style of the environment models is cool; minimal yet detailed. And I love the mix of a 3/4 iso camera and 3D models.
The timer is a real short. Also I think it is bugged, several times it went negative and I guess I could loot for ever?
Thank you for catching that bug, I'm fairly certain its fixed now (has an else if instead of a new if statement).
As for the timer, you can extend it by completing goals to get upgrade points and then upgrading the timer.
