The lights and the effects were great. There is some feedback when the player gets hit but the enemies don't have that maybe something similar could be added to make the attacks more impactful. Faster dialogue option would be great as well.
Lastly, as others have pointed out any interaction with the outside door freezes the game even on day 1
Keep up the good work!

WOW, definitely not expecting and saving system with an animated loading screen. The game was really good looking, loved the lights that the character emmits. I just had some troubles with the game and found it to be a little buggy:

  • Movement wasn't feeling exactly smooth, I don't know why but I was not feeling right while moving.
  • My game frozze when I tried to open the houses door on day 2.
  • Attacks could have some effects in the enemies such as an white blink or appling an slow to their movement for a brief time just to give the feedback to the player.

But the game looks really good and got my attention with greg, such a cool and enigmatic character. Keep up with the good work man!

Ooo was this made with More Mountains Top Down engine? We're More Mountains buddies! Sleeping with the pencil was 10/10. I broke the game when I tried to leave through the front door on the second day; the game froze, just like my poor heart.

yea my last day was pure bug fixing but I couldn't get them all. *sad face*

That's so relatable it hurts. 😭

Yea!!! I bought More Mountains Top Down engine last year but wanted to make all my own stuff for my next game so never got a chance to really use it but I really like the time save of not having to make everything.

I hear you on that! I used Corgi (2D engine) in this jam, and not having to program physics, base movement, and AI building blocks makes a HUGE difference. Plus, MM Feel is legendary.
