Game Description
Larvik is a small little game about a larvas journey to becoming something more. Also, you can pick up points on the way. This is our first game jam, so natually we didn't set the standard too high, even though we had many features we had hopes of getting in there in time, we are very happy with the result. Hope you enjoy it. All assets made in FL Studio and Aseprite.

How does your game tie into the theme?
It is a very literal interpretation of the theme. Larvae undergo metamorphosis when they become butterflies.

Congrats on your first game jam submission! It's fun to play at full speed for an extra challenge :D It would be nice to also be able to slow down (maybe it is possible but I missed the button?)

Thank you so much! So cool to see others play it, we'll make sure to check out yours as well! No way to slow down unfortunately 😅 We really wanted to be able to exchange points when we die into upgrades and powerups, that would be one of them. We originially imagined it as a rogue lite kind of game, getting further and further with each larva. But you know... time 😂

This was a super cool take on the classic Snake concept. There's a decent amount of challenge while still being easy to pick up. The music is charming as well and helped create a chill atmosphere while playing.
